OCTG refers to a collection of rolled metal products used in the oil and gas sector, including casing and tubing. Indeed, they are used in drilling operations.

Casing refers to the tube put within a drilled well in order to protect and support the well stream. The Casing entirely surrounds the wellbore, preventing contamination of the soil layers and, most crucially, the groundwater by drilling mud and frac fluids. Furthermore, it stabilizes the wellbore, which necessitates that the casing withstands exceptionally high stresses.
