AS/NZS 1163 C450 L0
AS/NZS 1163 C450 L0
There is a high demand for dual-spec pipes, such as those made of materials that meet the AS/NZS 1163 C450 L0 / API 5L X52 specifications. The mechanical and chemical tests that we do to demonstrate compliance with both materials requirements are numerous and varied. API 5L and AS/NZS 1163 both need separate test methodologies to ensure compliance with tensile and fracture toughness characteristics, and both have their own requirements. To verify structural and pressure integrity, further tests such as hydrostatic pressure testing and non-destructive weld inspection are undertaken.

NOTES:
- When the diameter to thickness ratio hits 100, the manufacturer and consumer must agree on an out-of-roundness tolerance.
- External dimension tolerances have no bearing on convexity and concavity tolerances.
- Straightness in any one plane is covered by the straightness tolerance.
- The specified mass is taken as the nominal mass in the absence of any other condition.
AS/NZS 1163 C450 L0 and API 5L X52 Dual Specs Pipe
Pipes that meet both AS/NZS 1163 C350 L0 and API 5L X42 requirements are in high demand, as are materials that meet both standards. The mechanical and chemical testing that we do to demonstrate compliance with these materials requirements is extensive. When it comes to verifying compliance with tensile and fracture toughness requirements, API 5L and AS/NZS 1163 have separate test protocols in place. To establish structural and pressure integrity, hydrostatic pressure tests and non-destructive weld inspection are also done.
